Menopause View app
Menopause View app
- An app for women who are perimenopausal or menopausal.
The Menopause View app is mainly a tracking app where users can track menopause-related symptoms (such as anxiety, bladder issues, mood changes, hot flushes, etc) and medications. The medication tracking feature links to a medication selection list that is based on American medication names. Some, but not all, of the medicines are relevant to a New Zealand audience. In addition, users can create journal entries and track other aspects like weight and blood pressure. The app has a glossary for medical terms, and the blog section links to interesting articles about menopause.

Comments: This app is for perimenopausal or menopausal women, to improve the transition for women going through menopause. The app has symptom tracking and some other helpful features. This app was released in 2015 and has been abandoned at the time of release. There are longstanding issues with the medication section being unremedied since release. It has quite a large feature set, but the education section is poor. I think this has the potential for being a very good app if the developers picked it up again, modernised it and ironed out the bugs.
Safety concerns: None.
New Zealand relevance: No option to use metric units for weight tracking. The medication tracking section uses many American brand names, and while you can select 'other', the variables for this custom option are very limited.
