Comments: This course is most useful for people living with cows' milk allergy or intolerance, or those who are dairy free, their friends and family. The course teaches users to safely identify dairy on food labels.
The course is not personalised information about dairy-free diets and this is acknowledged in the health section. An assessment by a dietitian is still the gold standard to make sure a balanced diet is still able to be followed as cutting out dairy removes some key nutrients that must be obtained elsewhere.
It is, however, great information if there’s a delay seeing a dietitian or if someone is looking for information to help them shop safely for a friend or relative with dairy allergy or intolerance.
Safety concerns: None
New Zealand relevance: Suitable for a New Zealand audience, but there is no te reo Māori used in education topics.
