How to get the app

The NeckFit app is a comprehensive neck exercise app designed to address common neck discomfort and promote better neck health. The free version of the app only allows access to one session/work out. So if users don’t mind repetition, then this would be a good option. Otherwise, paying for the full version would open up more variety.

The paid version offers lots more features:

  • A variety of exercises, with a personalized approach to strengthening and stretching the neck muscles. The range of exercises are suitable for different levels of fitness and neck issues, including tension relief, flexibility enhancement, and posture improvement. Each exercise is accompanied by clear instructions and videos to ensure proper form and maximize effectiveness.
  • Customization where users can create their own exercise routines based on their specific needs and preferences, making it adaptable to individual goals and schedules.
  • Tracking and progress monitoring tools, allowing users to keep tabs on their workouts and measure their improvement over time. This feature not only helps users stay motivated but also enables them to adjust their routines for optimal results.

PROS CONS

✔ The video demonstrations in this app allow for good technique and adherence to programme.

✔ The programme is timed, so users are instructed on how many sets and reps of each exercise needs to be completed.

✘ The free version of this App only entitles the user to 1 work out/session, so it lacks variety, and users won't gain progressions of programmes without subscribing.

✘ There are links to UK-based events (but the content is still relevant to New Zealanders).

✘ Customised programmes are only available through the paid version of the app.

Comments: The 1 free work out/session that's available to all users is comprehensive for low level neck pain. If you don’t need variety and are looking for a simple programme that will improve your neck soreness, then this might be beneficial to you. Any progressions or changes to sessions is only available through a paid subscription. Users of paid version of the app have a lot more variety of exercises, tailoring and customisations and added features like tracking their progress. The paid version may be useful in reducing pain and tension at the neck and improving flexibility and range of motion.
Safety concerns: None.
New Zealand relevance: There are links to UK-based events but the content is still relevant to New Zealanders.
