PROS | CONS |
---|---|
✔ Pass it project which supports women in need. With each subscription they donate 3 free subscriptions to some in countries with limited access. ✔ Very helpful educative articles that are peer reviewed updated by doctors around period and lifestyle health. ✔ The more data you add the more accurate the predictions become. ✔ Sends alerts, reminders for your next period. ✔ Decodes types of discharge associated with your periods and informs you when to seek medical advice. ✔ Good easy to understand graphics. ✔ Virtual Flo Health Assistant to help with proactive support and information on the go. Some of this is available on the free version as well. ✔ Share cycle information and predictions with your partner. ✔ The upgrade version allows you to create a Flo family plan where family or friends can join your plan. ✔ It has a secret chat “community” section for anonymous discussion. There are set rules about etiquette for this chat community. These seemed to be encouraging e.g. if someone has an anxiety about going to the doctor or questions around period health. |
✘ A lot of other features such as more interaction with the Flo Health Assistant; Flo for partners or further articles are available on the paid version. ✘ The free version entices the user to more but this only unlocked in the paid version. This can be quite frustrating. The adds to upgrade appear a lot when or the enticement to go on a free trial. Sometimes these free trials maybe difficult to stop once committed. Users have to be careful not to get charged once free trial has ended. Google search showed some users found the process arduous. ✘ To allow the prediction to be accurate you have to enter your period data consistently. ✘ Default metrics are in inches and pounds. |
