MyHealthyGut app
MyHealthyGut app
- An app for people wanting to learn how to follow a gluten free diet for coeliac disease and gluten intolerance, as well as for tracking and managing gut symptoms.
- It includes meal plans and recipes and the paid version includes an interactive Q&A knowledge bot that can answer questions about your digestive health.
The MyHealthyGut app provides people with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance, and those who want to live gluten-free, with tools to manage and improve their digestive health. The app is divided into 5 main sections all with sub sections:
-
Home – This is the home page that allows navigation to the safe food search, food and symptom tracker, therapeutic meal plans and recipes, healing foods and supplements, tips news and articles as well as a place to ask questions.
Note that the questions open up a digestive health bot “Professor G” that asks what topics you want to learn about and then provides content in response. -
Plan – The plan section has a range of features to help you plan weekly meals that are satisfying as well as suitable for your gut condition. There's the option to search by recipe type or ingredient or access pre-set meal plans. There's further information on healing foods and healing supplements
-
My Day – This section contains 2 tabs, one each for detailed food and symptom tracking. This includes options for adding food and/or recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. There's an optional notes section. Symptom tracking is in the second tab of this section with space to input stress levels, fatigue, abdominal pain and discomfort, bowel movements and any other symptoms or notes of relevance.
-
Resources – This expansive section includes articles that provide supporting information on the gut, coeliac disease, gluten free diets, and extra sections with facts and news.
-
Journey – This section provides a visual overview of your symptom tracking that can be viewed a week at a time. There's further colour coding for whether food logged is gluten free, contains gluten, cross-contamination or unverified foods. It allows a visual for seeing patterns of the food you eat with your symptoms.
There's a hamburger menu that's accessed through the 3 horizontal bars in the top right corner that provides extra tools such as a grocery list function, reminders, managing account and other background information about the app.
