Comments: Overall the FODMAP A to Z app provides a simple food search/directory of low, moderate and high FODMAP foods. It is solely for educational purposes only and is not designed to guide an individual through the low FODMAP diet. It could be used as an educational tool alongside medical and dietetic support to manage IBS symptoms in an individual. The user can tailor the results to their sensitivities, however only once they have properly determined these through elimination, challenge and personalisation of the low FODMAP diet.
Safety concerns: None.
New Zealand relevance: Yes
Concerns: Yes it is relevant, but it wouldn’t be one to recommend unless someone has completed all 3 stages of the low FODMAP diet and has determined their sensitivities and tolerance levels.
