Clinical review
Reviewer: Angela Lambie, Pharmacist, Waitematā District Health Board
Date of review: April 2020
Platform: Apple
Version: 1.15.0
Comments: This app is a great tool for keeping track of blood glucose results and for recording exercise and carbohydrate intake. It would be ideal if the blood glucose monitor you are using paired with the app. The basic plan has limited features while the premium paid plan offers additional features like an estimate of HbA1c and advanced reporting, and can directly email results to your healthcare provider.
Safety concerns: No.
New Zealand relevance: The app is relevant to New Zealand users but the medicines for users to select from the drop-down list are medicines available in the US. Some New Zealand brands are not listed but they can be manually added. The blood glucose monitors that pair with the app are US brands.
