The Amsler Grid looks like graph paper, with dark lines forming a square grid. One of the first signs of macular degeneration can be waviness, distortion, blurring or missing areas on the grid. However, the grid does not replace having your macula tested by an eye care professional, particularly if you are over 50 years old or have any risk factors for macular degeneration. |
