Beyond the Birds and Bees app provides young people with information about sexuality and relationships. The app is divided into main sections:

  • Who am I? has information about gender and identity, including pronouns and getting and giving support.
  • The relationships we want provides information about navigating relationships including boundaries, healthy conversations, consent and unhealthy relationships.
  • First time for everything has guidance on aspects of a relationship such as flirting, dating, kissing and sex.
  • The how to's of sex has information about sex and sexual health.
  • Safer sex provides information about sexual health including topics on contraception, STIs and possible pregnancy.
  • What is love? has sections on romantic love and relationships, and what love is not.
  • Breaking up has guidance on how to break up with someone and how to manage a break including leaving an unhealthy relationship.
  • Dating violence has information about unhealthy relationships, red flags and green flags, and advice about when someone is unsafe.
  • Online world gives advice and guidance about the risks of the online world and how to navigate the space safely. It includes information about pornography, dating apps and online romantic relationships.
  • Your body describes puberty, the sexual organs and variations in sex characteristics.
  • Periods and endometriosis has information about the female reproductive organs and endometriosis, which links to an online resource, Living well with endometriosis.
