What does the app do?
Zoom Health app is aimed at New Zealanders who are unlikely to take their medicines because they find it challenging to collect their prescriptions, or those who prefer a more online experience. The app allows you to get your prescription medicines couriered to you anywhere in New Zealand. Medicines that can be delivered include non-funded medicines(external link) and funded medicines available only with contracted DHB’s (Auckland, Canterbury, Counties Manukau, West Coast, Southern, Waikato and Waitematā). The app also has features to help you take your medicines regularly and correctly, such as daily reminders, repeat or refill alerts when your medication is running low and access to personalised medicine information. For a more detailed description of the app, see app website(external link), Google Play(external link) or iTunes(external link) or see Reviews.
How to get started?
The process is initiated by your doctor when they prescribe your medicines. If you would like to get your medicines delivered to you by Zoom, tell your doctor. They will then send your prescription and mobile phone contact details to Zoom, who will send you a message requiring you to complete the sign up process and order your medicines. If you do not order your medicines or fill your repeats on time, the staff at Zoom will contact you to remind you.
Alternatively, you can send your prescriptions to Zoom Freepost.
