What does the app do?

LactApp provides information about many aspects of breastfeeding, from the basics to weaning. It includes topics like mixed feeding, handling and storage of breastmilk, expressing milk, and breastfeeding and alcohol. The app has a chat function, through which you can send questions and tracking logs of baby’s feeding, weight and poos.

PROS CONS

✔ Beautiful appearance.

✔ Very thorough in detail.

✔ Simple topics and pathways to topics.

✔ Great blogs – very topical, making for good reading.

✔ Relevant to New Zealanders.

✘ Signing in via the Facebook button appears troublesome.

✘ May have too many options as you need to click through a lot to get where you may want to go. This can be annoying or possibly hard if the mother is not sure in the first place.

✘ Currently only available in English and Spanish but the developer has announced they are looking to translate into other languages.
