| How to get the app |
The Gestational Diabetes Tracker app is designed to monitor blood glucose readings during pregnancy for people with gestational diabetes. It can also record meals, physical activity, and medication (if prescribed). You can log your daily glucose results, set reminders for tests, record meals, and view simple trend graphs. The graphics are minimalistic and easy to follow, focusing on manual data entry and glucose target awareness.
The app allows you to log your glucose results in a structured format with date and time, and to quickly identify high or low readings. The app also encourages self-management and awareness of food–glucose relationships. Data exporting allows sharing of data with healthcare providers (CSV format).

Comments: The Gestational Diabetes Tracker app is a basic, free digital logbook suited to users who are comfortable with manually entering their glucose levels. It's helpful for tracking and visualising your results but doesn't replace professional guidance or local resources. You'll need to manually change the settings from mg/dL to mmol/L. The app is useful as a tracking aid only, alongside input from your healthcare provider.
Safety concerns: None.
New Zealand relevance: Yes, the app is relevant to Aotearoa New Zealand users. However, while it provides a practical digital logbook for gestational diabetes monitoring, it lacks localised information for New Zealand women. Units default to mg/dL, which may confuse users familiar with mmol/L units.
