Eve Period Tracker app
Eve – Period Tracker app
- A period-tracking app for ages 17 years and above.
- It helps track your menstrual period and also focuses on fertility and mild sexual and mature themes which aren't suitable for younger users.
The Eve period tracking app is for users aged over 17 years and helps you track your menstrual period. It claims to get more accurate as more data is entered. The app isn't suitable for younger users due to mild sexual content and intense mature themes. You can also track your mood, sexual activity, physical symptoms (such as bloating, breast tenderness or vaginal discharge), menstrual flow, exercise, or if you've indulged in sweet food, alcohol or salty snacks.
The app also tracks when you're most fertile and highlights your fertility forecast. There's a basic cycle analysis but you can unlock more detailed analysis with the Premium upgrade.
At the bottom of the landing page, there are different health facts. You can gain more insight on each fact with links to articles or videos. Some articles are free while others can only be accessed with the Premium upgrade.

PROS | CONS |
---|---|
✔ Tracks your period and eventually you can see historical data. ✔Very good clear easy to follow graphics. ✔Health insights from reputable sources. Clicking on the reference allows you to explore more information. You can share this information with family or friends. ✔ Health insights are correlated to information you've entered in your log which is very useful. For example, if you've noticed a funny smelling vaginal discharge, you get information about vaginal discharge, what's normal and what's abnormal and when to arrange for a check-up. ✔ Also provides health advice, eg, how much alcohol to drink and the effects of alcohol on your overall health. ✔ Reminders based on your period, such as packing an extra tampon if you've had a heavy flow. ✔ Clear explanations on how to use the cycle chart. ✔ Links to support groups related to relationships, pregnancy, fitness, and mental health. ✔ You can nominate friends to join. |
✘ If all the notifications are turned on, the information can be overwhelming and hard to make sense of. ✘ Not suitable for younger users due to mild sexual content and intense mature themes. ✘ Although your different entries can help you see a trend eg, in menstrual flow, physical symptoms, sexual activity or mood, the free version shows the different entries as individual trends. It doesn't correlate them which would be more useful. |

Comments: Good app with great easy to understand graphics. It's a menstrual period tracker and also tracks your fertility period. It also has links to health insights which help explain period health and general health and wellbeing issues. It's also a sex app therefore isn't suitable for users younger than 17 years. It's useful for logging health information and seeing trends. These trends can help you understand your body better.
Safety concerns: There are mild sexual and mature themes which are not suitable for younger users. They don't collect data for those aged 13 and under, but there aren't any barriers to a younger user opening an account.
New Zealand relevance: Yes. It has simple and easy to use graphics.
