Comments: Bite Back is a great, engaging online program that is suitable for youth between the age of 12–18 (particularly those between the age of 13–16), to help promote mental wellbeing and prevent and/or manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. The website includes a series of six 10 minute modules that can be completed in one session or over 6 weeks. These modules use animations, quizzes and activities to introduce users to the concepts of gratitude, mindfulness, social connections, identifying your strengths, social connections and mental fitness.
Safety concerns: None.
New Zealand relevance: Yes. This is an Australian based website, however the contents are also relevant to NZ youth. The only feature that will not work is SMS notifications, however email notifications and all other features will still work.
