Comments: This is a great app to help users to remember appointments and when to take their medicines. If users select 'when medicine taken', it can produce a report of medicines taken. Users can also include other data such as their blood pressure and blood test results, weight, mood and adverse effects.
Safety concerns: None.
New Zealand relevance: Some of the medicines on the drop down lists are not available in New Zealand, but medicines can be manually added if they don’t list the New Zealand brand.

Comments: This app is useful for patients who want to keep track of their medication. Within the app there is a video that provides additional support on how to use the app to manage your medicines.
Safety concerns: The app does not have provision for the user to record both the brand name and the ingredient name of the medication.
New Zealand relevance: The brands of the medicines are US based. These may not be applicable to New Zealand.

Comments: I’ve been using Medisafe for a few years. It has a great range of features, scheduling, refills and appointment reminders, can share alerts if a carer is involved, can export reports. I never have a problem with it.

Comments: I like that you can schedule all your medication that you take regularly plus have the ones that you take as required.

Comments: The app is easy to use, you can customise what each med looks like, if you miss a dose you can specify why and the refill reminders are great. However the app is not New Zealand based, so most of the saved meds are other brands, but it just means it takes a little longer to input manually.
