Comments: This app is useful for women with urinary incontinence and men with erectile dysfunction. The app provides a ‘gamification’ approach to pelvic floor exercises where you have a cat mascot and can earn tokens to customise his look and buy different songs. There are three modes: daily squeeze (for every day use), go forever (for setting a high score) and a dance mode (follow along to 80s tracks). The daily squeeze program is customisable, and you can set up to three reminders. There is a noticeable lack of written information about pelvic floor exercises, who should do them and when you should see a health professional which lets this app down. The “cute” visual style is probably not for everyone. Overall, this is a great free app option. However, you will need to get supplementary information from other sources.
Safety concerns: Noticeable lack of educational information, and therefore no information about when you should see a health professional.
New Zealand relevance: Relevant to New Zealand users.
