Comments: "This app aims to help problem gamblers identify their problem gambling, do self-exclusion and set limits for their gambling by using it. The app also provides information for other organisation that can provide help to problem gamblers. Users may benefit by doing a self-assessment and getting a clearer understanding of problem gambling. My concern with this app is that for someone needing immediate help, there are numerous steps and users may not be able to spend time reading how to do it on the app. Overall this app has many useful features but it is best used with guidance and support from people trained to help gamblers such as counsellors and therapists. Going through each of the self-help steps requires motivation, will and self control which may be difficult for a person with a gambling problem to work through without the support of a professional counsellor or therapist."
Safety concerns: "For someone needing immediate help, there are numerous steps and users may not be able to spend time reading how to do it on the app."
New Zealand relevance: "This app is mainly UK, US and Australian users. There is no information on service providers for New Zealand users."
